Job Description

Overview:

As a Mortgage Sales Team Lead you will ensure that the assigned territory achieves all of its goals, which include meeting or exceeding loan production goals, loan growth and quality control. This position is also responsible for providing leadership and direction for all Mortgage Loan Originators assigned territory and implementing the Company's overall goals strategies, philosophies and culture.

What You'll Do:

Day in the Life - Every day you will drive production, growth, and team performance within an assigned territory. This role is responsible for recruiting and developing high-performing Mortgage Loan Originators and Assistants, while executing strategic market and individual business plans to achieve sales goals. The Team Lead will cultivate and maintain strong referral relationships, actively manage the mortgage pipeline, and provide consistent coaching through regular one-on-one meetings and performance reviews. Additionally, this position ensures team members are fully equipped with the knowledge of products, systems, and processes needed to operate efficiently, while maintaining strict adherence to bank policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards. In addition, this position must also develop and identify new business opportunities for the Bank and remain actively involved in the community.

What it Takes:

  • Work Experience: minimum of 5 years mortgage banking experience with 2 years previous management/supervisory experience preferred.
  • Technical Skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office products; ability to adapt to new technology; grasp information quickly; strong attention to detail.
  • Leadership Skills: leading and developing others; motivating and coaching others; making decisions; thinking critically and solving complex problems; reporting progress; accepting responsibility; results-driven
  • Active NMLS registration under the terms of the SAFE Act is required.
