Job Description

Ohio Department of Public Safety - Ohio State Highway Patrol

Report in Location: 7051 Glenn Highway, Cambridge OH 43725

Hours Worked: 8:00am to 5:00pm; Work days and hours may vary; on call 24 hours

What You'll Do as a Motor Carrier Enforcement Inspector Supervisor

  • Establish priorities & supervise subordinate personnel.
  • Schedule work assignments; Travel within assigned district(s) to provide on-site direction & assistance to inspectors.
  • Ensure compliance of rules & regulations as applicable to enforcement objective to govern commercial motor carrier operations.
  • Compile reports.
  • Provide technical assistance to investigative personnel.

Option 1

Ability to calculate fractions, decimals & percentages;

AND 24 mos. exp. in supervisory principles & techniques;

AND valid driver's license;

AND additional training & education commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved position description on file.

Option 2

  • Or 24 mos. exp. as a Motor Carrier Enforcement Inspector, 23111.
  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

POSITION SPECIFIC MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Driver's license required.
