Summary: 

• Reviews engineering drawings for electrical and electronic systems and assemblies.

• Provides guidance on selection of materials, processes, and standard parts for wire harness and assembly design.

• Supports fabrication and production of electrical and electronic boxes and assemblies.

• Applies background in aerospace electrical wiring for interconnect systems.

• Assists with updating program specifications for electrical wiring and part selection.

• Defines requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes used in engineering design and manufacturing.

• Produces specifications to manage deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes.

• Evaluates emerging technologies for potential application to business needs.

• Develops and qualifies new tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes to meet requirements.

• Conducts analysis to determine performance or reasons for failures of tools, materials, parts, or processes and implements corrective and preventive actions.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

• Experience with engineering drawing reviews for electrical and electronic systems.

• Experience with selection of materials, processes, and standard parts for wire harness and assembly design.

• Experience with fabrication and production of electrical and electronic boxes.

• Background in aerospace electrical wiring and interconnect systems.

• Experience updating program specifications for electrical wiring and part selection.

• Experience defining requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes.

• Experience producing specifications and documents for deployment of tools and materials.

• Experience developing and qualifying new tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes.
