MPD Shop Technician

We are currently seeking a Shop Technician Level 1 to join a leading Oil & Gas operation in Anchorage, Alaska. This position plays a key role in supporting overall shop efficiency by assisting with equipment maintenance, inspections, repairs, and general facility upkeep.The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, and committed to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This role operates in a demanding, rugged environment and requires attention to detail, strong teamwork, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.Starting pay rate: $24 per hour.Key Responsibilities:Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Perform routine facility and yard upkeep

Utilize SiteDocs daily to complete required safety and maintenance forms

Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives

Assist in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining RCD equipment

Keep accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs

Support the shipping and receiving process for MPD/RCD equipment

Assist in receiving vendor orders and verifying shipments

Deliver and/or pick up supplies from vendors as needed

Conduct preventive maintenance checks and service on RCD equipment

Maintain company-issued tools and develop skills in their use

Provide support to the Shop Foreman and Operations Team with maintenance tasks

Qualifications & Skills:1-2 years of experience working in a shop environment

Mechanically inclined with the ability to apply mechanical knowledge effectively

Effective communication (written & verbal), analytical, and interpersonal skills

Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines with minimal supervision

Organized, dependable, and action-orientedBasic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel).Required Certifications:Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
