Job Description

As a key element in the cross-functional collaboration between MRB liaison, quality and manufacturing to meet regulatory requirements, the candidate’s role will be pivotal in maintaining the structural and functional integrity of our aircraft while supporting efficient production flow.
Position will be a full-time position at Beta production facilities in South Burlington, Vermont.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:

    • Perform stress analysis of nonconformances of composite (and where required, metallic) parts and assemblies identified on the production line
    • Review Quality documentation and MRB Nonconformance Reports to determine the extent of defect and appropriate analysis approach to substantiate an engineering disposition
    • Communicate NCRs clearly to Structures Stress team leads and request additional technical support when needed to ensure a flowing production line
    • Collaborate with MRB liaison, M&P, Manufacturing Engineering and other engineering departments for complex or out for scope deviations requiring technical discussion
    • Demonstrate knowledge of standard repair procedures for typical nonconformance occurrences
    • Compile NCR Stress Reports documenting the nonconformance incident, stress substantiation, assessment results and demonstrate approval for acceptance or repair

Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in either Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering
    • 5+ years of related professional Stress experience
    • Experience with Stress Analysis Reports or structural substantiation
    • Strong understanding of Aircraft structures, design guidelines, composite and metallic failure modes
    • Excellent communication skills to interface with cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams
    • Self-starter and motivation to see solutions executed to completion

$100,000 - $130,000 a year
