Key Responsibilities:
Operate highly complex computerized MRI devices employing strong magnetic fields and radio waves.
Follow difficult and complex protocols as prescribed by MRI Radiologists.
Performs complex diagnostic imaging procedures using super-conductive MRI equipment to acquire images of the head, neck, spine, abdomen, chest, and extremities. Select technical factors, set up accessory equipment, and make necessary exposures.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification: Successful completion of an accredited training program; must be certified as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and certified in the MRI specialty.
Life Support: Must hold current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
Experience: At least two years of experience in diagnostic radiology equipment operation under a Radiologist.
Recent Practice: Must have worked as an MRI Tech in a hospital lab setting within the last six months.
