A little about the job....
- Utilizes magnetic resonance imaging scanners to capture specific images ordered by a physician to aid in patient diagnosis.Must be able to understand and closely follow a physician’s instructions.
- Must be efficient in preparation and operation of MRI equipment and positioning of patients.
- Acts as an ambassador for the MRI department. Puts the needs of the patient and customer at the forefront. Is results driven and must be a team player.
Qualifications for the job...
- Associates or Bachelor Degree related to radiology.
- Must be registered with the ARRT and must be registered in Magnetic Resonance Imaging or meet the minimum criteria for initial qualifications outlined by the American College of Radiology.
- Required to obtain continuing education to uphold registries. CPR Certification required. Basic Life Support skills are encouraged
- Minimum one to two years’ experience as a Radiology Technologist and/or MR Technologist.
