JOB DESCRIPTION:
SUMMARY OF POSITION
We are seeking First-Year Master’s of Social Work (MSW) Interns for a year-long practicum in our Virtual Clinic a Centerstone, a community mental health setting. This internship provides hands-on experience in case management, client engagement, and systemic advocacy under the supervision of licensed clinical social workers. Some direct client hours may be available.

Commitment
- Duration: 1 academic year
- Hours: 15–20 per week, flexible 2–3 days
- Supervision: Weekly 1:1 with LCSW and task supervisor

- Strengthen advocacy and community practice competencies
- Build professionalism, ethical practice, and cultural competence
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct Client Work: Intakes, assessments, supportive counseling, and resource navigation
- Case Management: Maintain small caseloads, documentation, and treatment planning
- Group & Family Work: Participate in or co-facilitate sessions
- Community Engagement: Outreach, advocacy, and policy initiatives
- Administrative Support: Resource development and project work
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education Level
- Current enrollment in a Master’s of Social Work program (first-year placement)
- Strong interest in community mental health and case management
- Ability to commit to 15–20 hours per week for one academic year
