Tidewell Hospice, a part of Empath Health is seeking a caring and compassionate Music Therapist.
Field based position covering Charlotte and Desoto counties

What you'll Do
- The Music Therapist collaborates with the IDT to implement a plan of care for patients, families and pediatrics, with the approval of the physician, utilizing music therapy
- This position provides supportive social services and bereavement services as determined by the patient/family needs and the interdisciplinary Plan of Care.
- Demonstrate a music performing proficiency and ability to create an effective therapeutic environment for Patient/Family.
- Provide Music therapy and documents Patient/Family assessment, progress towards goals, applied interventions and clinical outcomes in the electronic medical record according to professional standards and Empath Health guidelines,
- Attends memorial services of patients for closure and support of family when appropriate.

What You'll Need
- Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Music Therapy from four-year College or university required. Minimum of two (2) years paid experience in music therapy preferred.
- Credentialed as a Music Therapist - Board Certified (MT-BC);
- Continuing Education: As required for licensure.
- Music performing proficiency and ability to create an effective therapeutic environment for Patient/Family.
- For field-based positions, employees must have reliable transportation, which will enable them to perform tasks and responsibilities in a timely and appropriate fashion. Must provide proof of valid automobile insurance, a copy of which will be placed in the employee's HR file.
