Position Details:
Hiring: Medical Assistant
Facility Name: Front Street Clinic
Location: Juneau, AK 99801
Shift Information: Monday Friday (8:00 AM 5:00 PM)
Number of Weeks: 24
Guaranteed Hours: Minimum 40 hours/week
Overtime: Available after 40 hours
- Provide patient care across all age groups in an ambulatory clinic setting
- Support providers by rooming patients, performing Point of Care Testing (POCT), lab draws, immunizations, and injections within scope
- Maintain patient flow, documentation, and accurate charting of medical records
- Assist with minor procedures, treatments, and routine exams
- Monitor patient conditions and report any changes or concerns
- Handle administrative duties, data entry, and EMR documentation
- Assist with radiology exams (if competencies met) and basic life support when required
- Ensure compliance with clinic protocols, safety standards, and infection control practices
- Support clinic operations and assist team members as needed
- Must have current Medical Assistant Certification
- BLS Certification required
- Flu vaccine required
- Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
