Job Description
Ensuring Chart's Success…
As a key member of the NDE team, you will coordinate a wide variety of activities to support production teams in assuring that industrial products are manufactured in compliance with customer specifications and required codes, standards, and procedures.
What Will You Do?
Records relevant quality data
Recommends modifications to existing, or suggests new standards, methods, and procedures
Helps prioritize workload to assist in production flow
Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff
Possesses comprehensive working knowledge of subject matter
Utilizes basic, intermediate, and advanced tools in daily tasks
Additional duties are but not limited to acting as a mentor and providing technical support to others.
Participates in internal and external audits
Assists with Non-Destructive Testing NDE Level III Tasks
- Reviews procedure for CODE compliance
Learn new techniques and train less experienced technicians
Write NDT procedures
Writes and approves NDT training in methods certified
Performs NDT Training
Administers NDT certification tests
Monitors NDT certifications at multiple sites

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk and sit. Frequently uses hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally it is required to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color evaluations and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Moderate to loud noise level in the work environment
Your Experience Should Be...
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years' experience reading and interpreting blueprints and work orders
- NDT Training in RT, UT, VT, and PT.
- Current or Previous Level II in RT and UT
- 5+ years of related experience in Quality and NDT
- Working knowledge of ASME Code
- Ability to train individuals
- Advanced attention to detail
- Advanced computer skills
- Enhanced time management skills
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Up to 50% travel to other divisional sites / conferences
Preferred
Associate degree
ASNT Level III in Volumetric and Surface Method
Will need to take within 1 year
AWS CWI, either current or past, will need within one year if expired.
Ability to supervise individuals
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of ISO procedures
