Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:The Facility NDT Technician will perform non-destructive testing of piping systems and fixed equipment as directed by the Senior Inspector within their assigned area(s) of responsibility. The work schedule will be 40+ hours a week working offshore on the RIGS in the Kenai Peninsula.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:
Perform required NDE of inspections areas as directed by the Mistras InspectorIdentify inspection locations in accordance with written procedures.Document inspection findings appropriately for the given method.Create UT Sketches for documenting locations and inspection results and submit to Mistras Inspector or Mistras Lead InspectorComplete assigned inspections in a timely manner to ensure compliance with schedule.Immediately report equipment malfunctions/damage to supervisor and/or MTE.Perform all duties in accordance with applicable Mistras and safety requirements.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
3+ years of inspection experience80 hours of documented UT classroom trainingCurrent level II NDT certifications in PT, MT & UT-TCurrent level II CR/DR profile certificationCurrent IRRSP or equivalent (State Card)Successfully clear Mistras T&R background check to handle radioactive materialsAbility to prepare formal NDT inspection reports in accordance with applicable Mistras proceduresAbility to follow and draft standard piping isometric drawingsSuccessful completion of a 40hr Radiation Safety Training course.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel.Must be a self-starter, with strong work ethic.Able to secure homeland security clearance for Trustworthy and Reliable (T&R).Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.Valid driver's license

Current API- 570 certificationCurrent level I or higher Rope Access certification (IRATA or SPRAT)Current UT level II (unrestricted)Current CR/DR II CodeAbility to read P&ID'sExperience working with an Inspection Data Management System (IDMS)
