The Opportunity:

Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Non-Destructive Testing Technician to join our team. Working within a team environment, the NDT Technician be responsible for conducting penetrant and radiographic inspections to ensure parts are manufactured in accordance with manufacturing standards and blueprint specifications.

Additionally, the Technician will:

  • Set-up and operation of Penetrant inspection.
  • Inspect parts according to engineering and customer standards and specifications.
  • Maintain accurate and reliable documentation.
  • Visually inspects parts to ensure they are free of burrs or damaged surfaces.
  • Maintain proper identification of parts per planning specifications and ensures that accurate and reliable records and documentation are maintained.
  • Communicate change of shift requirements to ensure team members receive accurate and reliable information and documentation.
  • Perform routine maintenance of machines and equipment operated.
  • Clean, organize and maintain cellular manufacturing work area in accordance with established standards.
  • Ensure the continuous flow of materials and parts through the Cell.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and regulations.
  • Responsible for and accountable for product safety and the quality of work, including, as a minimum, all elements defined in the Company's Quality Policy.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School or GED

  • 1-3 years working in a manufacturing quality inspection role

  • Experience working with NDI or NDT practices preferred

  • Level 1 Penetrant, X-Ray, Mag Particle certification preferred but not required

  • Must be able to read, understand and correctly interpret basic blueprint drawings and follow planning instructions.

  • Familiar with GD&T specifications and capable of performing basic inspections based on engineering drawings.

  • Ability to use common measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges (pin, thread, indicator, height), optical comparators etc.

  • Attention to detail, ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time.

  • Demonstrates strong organizational and collaborative skills in a fast-paced environment.

  • Physical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches).

  • U.S. citizenship is required.

  • Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
