IT Network Engineer
Full-Time | Salaried ProfessionalLocation: Rochester, WA (Hybrid Eligible – Up to 2 Remote Days Per Week)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Network Engineer to support and secure a highly available 24/7 enterprise infrastructure environment. This individual will play a mission-critical role in designing, implementing, maintaining, and securing network systems that support operational, financial, and customer-facing technologies.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in network engineering, cybersecurity, firewall administration, disaster recovery planning, and enterprise infrastructure management. This role requires a proactive, solutions-oriented professional with excellent troubleshooting skills and experience supporting complex, segmented network environments.
This position will work closely with internal IT teams, security leadership, auditors, vendors, and operational stakeholders to ensure optimal network performance, security, compliance, and uptime.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and administer enterprise network infrastructure, including network hardware, software, wireless systems, and configurationsConfigure, monitor, and maintain firewalls, VPNs, routers, switches, and other network security devicesImplement and support enterprise security solutions and network segmentation strategiesProtect data, systems, and infrastructure through the implementation of network security measures and best practicesTroubleshoot and resolve network, hardware, software, and connectivity issuesMonitor network performance and recommend infrastructure improvements as neededSupport disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution initiativesCoordinate network access, permissions, and system connectivityDesign, configure, and test networking software, hardware, and operating systemsCreate and maintain detailed network diagrams, documentation, and operational proceduresStay current on emerging technologies, cybersecurity threats, and infrastructure best practicesCollaborate with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to support operational and security initiativesPerform additional duties as assignedQualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred4–7+ years of combined experience in network engineering and cybersecurityProgressive hands-on experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure environments
Equivalent combinations of certifications, education, and professional experience may be considered.
