This role provides hands-on responsibility for maintaining the availability, reliability, security, and performance of WAN, LAN, wireless, and data center networks. The position includes network monitoring, troubleshooting, implementation, documentation, maintenance, and emergency outage response. The Network Engineer II will work closely with technical teams, vendors, contractors, and business stakeholders to ensure dependable network services and successful infrastructure upgrades. This role requires flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as participation in a rotational on-call schedule.Position OverviewFusion HCR is seeking a Network Engineer II to maximize the availability and performance of enterprise network systems supporting a premier gaming and hospitality organization. The position will monitor, support, troubleshoot, and optimize network infrastructure, including routers, switches, wireless systems, Internet connections, and related technologies. The Network Engineer II will analyze complex issues, implement network configurations, support security and compliance requirements, and contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery efforts. Success in this role requires strong networking fundamentals, effective fault isolation, excellent documentation, and the ability to collaborate with systems, storage, database, telephony, vendor, and contractor teams. The engineer will also manage service requests, support projects, maintain network standards, and ensure infrastructure interoperability and reliability.Key Responsibilities

• Manage work requests while meeting service-level and KPI objectives.
• Deploy, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot WAN, LAN, wireless, Internet, and data center networks.
• Diagnose and repair complex network and end-user connectivity issues through internal ticketing systems.
• Respond to emergency outages in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Implement network configurations based on technical drawings, specifications, and documented requirements.
• Establish project milestones, tasks, and level-of-effort estimates.
• Research network products, services, protocols, and standards.
• Support network security audits, configuration backups, recovery procedures, and compliance activities.
• Follow Incident, Problem, and Change management processes.
• Maintain network standards, configurations, procedures, cabling layouts, diagrams, and performance reports.
• Collaborate with technical teams, vendors, peers, and contractors on implementations and upgrades.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in MIS or a related technical program, or equivalent industry experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration and any legally required license or certification.
• At least three years of experience supporting enterprise networks or large data center environments.
• At least three years of Layer 2/Layer 3 routing and switching design and implementation experience using Cisco IOS or data center products.
• Hands-on experience with technologies such as Cisco, HP, Aruba, Brocade, Check Point, Palo Alto, Blue Coat, Infoblox, SolarWinds, or F5.
• Experience in highly regulated environments, including MICS, PCI, or SOX.
• Training and experience with IT service management practices.
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN systems, OSI, TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, dynamic routing, network security, monitoring, testing, and fault isolation.
• Strong communication, organization, documentation, prioritization, project management, and customer service skills.
• Availability for varied shifts and rotational on-call support.
