Networking ITS Field Technician (Great Lakes)

Wavetronix is seeking a Networking ITS Field Technician to install, configure, troubleshoot, and support intelligent transportation technology throughout New England. This full-time role combines hands-on technical fieldwork, customer support, product training, and technical consulting.

Although this position is posted as Networking ITS Field Technician (New England), this position will be internally classified as Technical Sales Support and will fulfill the duties below.

Travel: Approximately 65% of the time throughout Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and surrounding territories based on customer and project needs. Additional travel may be required based on business needs. A company vehicle is provided.

About the Role

Wavetronix is a leader in radar-based technology for the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) industry. Successful Technical Sales Support Specialists are comfortable working with a wide range of customers, including field technicians, traffic engineers, and city planners. Strong communication skills are essential, as this role requires interaction through email, phone, and in-person meetings. The ideal candidate enjoys solving technical challenges, documenting solutions, and sharing knowledge to help customers succeed.

This position has been strategically aligned with Wavetronix's long-term vision for the region. Team members are expected to live within commuting distance of either the Tri-Point area (Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan) or Ann Arbor, Michigan, allowing for regular onsite collaboration when not supporting customers in the field. While the team currently operates remotely throughout the territory, Wavetronix plans to establish a permanent office location in the region within the next few years.
