Nicu Registered Nurse

• Minimum of 3 years NICU experience, including Level III NICU competency
• Proven track record with delivery attendance, assistive procedures (ventilators, central lines, blood administration)
• Proficient in placing IVs in neonates, drawing labs, and managing ventilators
• Strong knowledge of medication administration (IV, IM, SQ, ETT, OGT, NGT) and neonatal procedures (chest tubes, PICC, UAC/UVC)
• Experience with ultrasounds, echocardiograms, EEGs, intubation, oxygen and nitric oxide therapy
• Excellent compassion, empathy, customer service, and parent education skills
• Must have Epic experience and BLS & NRP certifications

Nice to Have Skills:

• Exposure to neonatal transport or high-frequency ventilation systems
• Experience with family-centered education and support
• Knowledge of neonatal diagnostics and intervention tools

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or related field preferred
• Direct experience in a Level III NICU setting
• Familiarity with self-scheduling and managing holiday/weekend shifts

Other Requirements:

• Must have at least 3 years of NICU experience, including delivery attendance
• Willingness to float to NOU with higher ratios (1:4-6)
• Availability for self-scheduling, working night shifts (3x12-hour shifts, 18:45 - 07:15)
• Ability to work every other weekend, and at least one major and one minor holiday
• Certifications in BLS & NRP required; ACLS preferred
• Must be able to participate in procedures such as chest tube insertions, PICC placements, x-ray assistance, and intubations
• Valid licensure and ability to work under all applicable laws and regulations

Compensation for this critical role is $56.95 per hour, with weekly pay via direct deposit.
