Night Shift Custodian – University of Oregon

Location: Eugene, OR

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Night Shift Custodian to support custodial operations at the University of Oregon. This position is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming campus facilities during evening and overnight hours.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, common areas, and other campus facilities.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors and other surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and fixtures.
• Empty trash and recycling and replace liners as needed.
• Dust and wipe down furniture, counters, doors, and high-touch surfaces.
• Restock restroom and custodial supplies.
• Assist with basic floor care and other routine custodial duties.
• Safely use cleaning products, supplies, and custodial equipment.
• Identify and report maintenance, safety, or facility concerns.
• Follow established safety procedures and cleaning standards.
• Work independently while completing assigned areas and tasks within the scheduled shift.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or facilities experience is preferred but not required.
• Reliable and able to consistently work the scheduled night shift.
• Comfortable performing physical work throughout the shift, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe and professional environment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
