Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and skilled Owner/Operator 1099 Independent Contractors to join our logistics team. This role involves owning/operating a box truck to transport Furniture/Cabinets/LTL Freight/Etc. efficiently and safely. As an Independent Contractor, you will need to hire/manage your own scheduled crew and be reliable while ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to safety regulations.

Must own and operate a 26" Box Truck with a lift gate and team to make deliveries in the Kansas City region.

Duties

Operate trucks for the transportation of freight.
Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
Navigate routes effectively while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding any issues or delays encountered during transit.
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any client inquiries or concerns in a professional manner.

Experience

Proven experience in truck driving with a valid DL & Physical DOT Card
Good communications skills and proper attire.
Experience with loading and unloading
Background in freight transportation or delivery driving is highly desirable.
Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
Strong understanding of safety protocols related to commercial driving.
