Job Title: Non-Clinical - Health and Information Management/CDI ManagerLocation: Onsite - possible hybrid, ideal candidate is localContract to ends 3/31 with the option to extend
Job Summary
- Responsible for overseeing health and information management and Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) processes.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize documentation and coding accuracy.
Essential Functions
- Manage and supervise health information management and CDI staff.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for effective health information management.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation and coding to support clinical and financial outcomes.
- Work with clinical teams to identify opportunities for documentation improvement.
- Monitor and report on CDI program performance and outcomes.
- Facilitate training and education programs for staff on documentation standards and best practices.
- Assist with compliance audits and implement corrective action plans when necessary.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, or related field required.
- Certification in Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) preferred.
Work Experience
- Three to five years of experience in health information management or clinical documentation improvement required.
- Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in healthcare documentation standards and coding systems.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
