Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Controller to join our non-profit organization in Houston. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA preferred- Proven experience as a Controller or similar role in the non-profit sector- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Responsibilities:- Manage and oversee the organization's financial operations- Develop and monitor the annual budget in collaboration with senior management- Prepare financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting requirements- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for improvements- Supervise accounting staff and provide training and guidance as needed- Support audits and other regulatory reviews- Participate in strategic financial planning and decision-making processes
