ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role, you'll step into a key position within our Global Safety Assessment & Regulatory Affairs (GSARA) team, working alongside regulatory experts, toxicologists, and raw material specialists who share your passion for safe, compliant, high‑quality personal care products. As the North America Manager of Regulatory Affairs - Personal Care, you'll bring your cosmetic and OTC expertise to guide regulatory strategy for our Lifestyle Brands and Professional product portfolios. You'll be the go-to regulatory leader for cross‑functional partners, helping teams bring innovative personal care products to market while ensuring ongoing compliance for items already on shelves. You'll also directly lead and develop regulatory associates, shaping how regulatory excellence shows up across the organization. This is your opportunity to influence how products are created, assessed, and commercialized. You'll embed compliance into every step of product development, proactively manage regulatory risks, and help drive a diverse and dynamic portfolio forward.

  • Lead regulatory strategy and day-to-day regulatory compliance activities for North America Lifestyle Brand and Professional portfolios, with primary subject matter expertise for personal care products, including cosmetic and OTC drug categories.

  • Provide regulatory guidance across the full product lifecycle for a diverse portfolio of products and regulatory frameworks, supporting innovation, commercialization, and post-market compliance.

  • Interpret and apply U.S. and Canadian regulatory requirements, including FDA cosmetic regulations, OTC drug requirements, labeling, and product listing obligations.

  • Review and approve product labeling, claims, formulas, and digital assets to ensure regulatory compliance across multiple brands and categories.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Product Development, Marketing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Legal to enable compliant innovation while balancing business priorities and regulatory risk.

  • Monitor emerging regulatory developments and assess potential impacts across the portfolio, translating regulatory changes into clear, actionable guidance.

  • Provide regulatory input and risk assessments for escalated issues, audits, or compliance inquiries affecting Lifestyle Brand and Professional businesses.

  • Provide direct people leadership for regulatory associates, including workload prioritization, coaching, performance feedback, and development planning.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical discipline (e.g., chemistry, biology, pharmaceutical sciences, engineering) and 8+ years of progressive regulatory experience in a regulated consumer products or life sciences environment or master's degree with 6+ years of experience

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Experience leading regulatory activities for portfolios spanning multiple brands, categories, or business units, with the ability to prioritize competing needs.

  • Direct people management experience, including coaching and developing regulatory professionals.

  • Experience representing a company in industry associations, trade groups, or working committees.

  • Strong judgment and ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical, actionable business guidance.

  • Experience supporting regulatory risk assessments, escalated issues, or audit readiness activities.

  • Familiarity with Canadian personal care regulatory requirements (e.g., Health Canada).
