Job Description

Job Title: Notary Closer – Real Estate Title Insurance

Location: Warren, Ohio

Job Type: Full-time – travel required

NOTE: This role requires at least one year of experience working in the Real Estate Title industry or in Real Estate Law. Subject matter training is not provided.

What you'll own

  • Document management: print, organize, ship, and scan all closing packages with strict attention to accuracy and completeness.
  • Quality control: review closing documents for errors or missing items before and after each signing appointment.
  • Travel to closings: travel throughout your territory to conduct real estate closings at homes, offices, and other agreed-upon locations.
  • Timeliness & deadlines: manage your schedule to ensure all signings and document returns happen on time, every time.
  • Client experience: serve as the professional face of Northwest at the closing table — clear, calm, and client-focused.
  • Return & reconciliation: ensure executed packages are returned promptly and reconciled accurately per company standards.
  • Complete necessary document filings at county offices within the assigned territory.

Required qualifications

  • Active Notary Public commission (required)
  • Minimum one year of experience as a notary closer for real estate closings
  • Demonstrated experience in the Real Estate Title industry or Real Estate Law
  • Strong command of closing documents, including Closing Disclosures and Settlement Statements
  • Exceptional organization — you manage multiple moving pieces simultaneously without dropping one
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proper grammar and spelling across email, phone, and in-person
  • Reliable personal transportation and ability to travel within the region as required
