Job Description

Commonwealth Medical Services is excited to announce an opening for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in our GI Clinic located in Northwest Arkansas. We welcome new graduates to apply and join our vibrant team dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients with gastrointestinal disorders. In this position, you will work closely with experienced physicians and specialists to deliver comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing management of GI-related conditions.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough medical evaluations and obtain patient histories in a clinical setting
Assist in diagnosing and managing patients with common gastrointestinal conditions
Perform procedures under supervision, as appropriate, based on training and competency
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work and imaging studies
Follow up on patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
Educate patients and families about gastrointestinal health, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications
Document all interactions and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations

Requirements

Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Arkansas or eligibility to obtain one
Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies
New graduates are encouraged to apply; experience in GI or related fields is a plus
Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Commitment to learning and professional development in the field of gastroenterology
