Job Description

Objectives of this Role:

  • Drive end-to-end project management for new product introductions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
  • Develop and execute project plans, including scope, schedule, resources, and risk management strategies.
  • Assist Sourcing team with drafting and managing supplier contracts, ensuring terms are clearly defined and both parties understand obligations. Responsible for monitoring contract compliance through the development process.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and marketing teams to ensure seamless product launches.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure favorable terms and ensure production readiness.
  • Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain project success.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies throughout the NPI process.

Your Tasks:

  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver new products on time, within budget, and to specification.
  • Perform market research to identify emerging trends and customer preferences, integrating insights into project strategies.
  • Develop detailed project schedules, track milestones, and report progress to senior management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with select suppliers through regular communication, performance evaluations, and collaboration on product development or process improvements. Manage supplier engagement for prototypes and production, negotiating advantageous terms when possible.
  • Facilitate design reviews, testing, and validation activities to ensure product quality and reliability and overall NPI process is adhered to.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including status reports, budgets, and post-launch evaluations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, sourcing and/or supplier management, preferably in new product development or category management.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
