Job Description
Pay rate ranges from $78.96 to $84.6 based on experience. Short Description:Monday Friday(varying shifts of either 7am 3:30pm or 9:30am 6:30pm).No weekends, no call, no holidays
Complete Description:Reviewspatient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures,equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation. Positionspatient and performs imaging procedure(s). Ensures proper imaging techniquesrelated to patients age and ability to understand procedure (sight, hearingneeds, ability to cooperate) to ensure image quality is successfully obtained.Reviews patient information and interpretation of data to confirm anappropriate plan and intervention specific for age related needs and provisionof care. Performs nuclear medicine imaging and therapy in accordance withapplicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, andmission of the organization. Analyzes results and identifies issues with thequality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image qualityissues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. Enters,transmits and reports scan results. Orders, prepares, administers, stores anddisposes of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols andapplicable regulations/standards. Monitors patient condition continually andreports/responds to changes in status as appropriate. Maintains appropriateinventory of supplies in the Clinical Nuclear Medicine rooms.
Job Requirements:
CTcertified and has PET/CT experience
ARRTCT
NNMTCBCT
Certifiedas a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine TechnologyCertification Board (NMTCB) or registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) andcertified in Nuclear Medicine (NM) by the American Registry of RadiologicTechnologists (ARRT).
NYS License
BLS(American Heart Association)
2 yearsExperience
Equipment:
Preferredknowledge in GE PET or Philips PET Scanners (not a requirement)
