Job Description

Nurse Practitioner - Internal Medicine, Family Nurse PractitionerJoin a vital healthcare team dedicated to delivering quality care to a rural community. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to provide exceptional internal medicine and family health services at a rural health facility outside of Lafayette. This immediate opening offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in underserved areas while enjoying competitive compensation. The ideal candidate will be prepared to start promptly upon credentialing and will bring a strong clinical background, independence, and a patient-centered approach.Required Skills:

Valid Louisiana Nurse Practitioner license
Proven experience in internal medicine and family practice settings
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
Ability to manage acute and chronic conditions independently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a rural healthcare environment with limited onsite supervision
Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
Capable of maintaining a clean, up-to-date professional file

Nice to Have Skills:

Bilingual proficiency
Experience working in rural or underserved settings
Familiarity with telehealth platforms
Certification in family practice or internal medicine specialties

Preferred Education and Experience:

Masters degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP)
Minimum of 2 years of practical experience as a Nurse Practitioner
Prior experience in primary care or outpatient clinics preferred

Other Requirements:

Must have a fully credentialed, clean professional file prior to start
On-site presence required during clinic hours: Monday-Thursday, 8 am 5 pm; Friday, 8 am noon
Availability to start within 10-15 days of credentialing
Able to work until June 3, with potential for extension or follow-up assignment
Travel reimbursements and licensure support provided if applicable
