Nursing Assistant Trainee

HYBRID Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program

The Wesley Community is now accepting applications for our next Hybrid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Class. This accelerated program combines online coursework with immersive, hands-on training to prepare you for a meaningful role in patient care.

Program Format

A 3-week hybrid model blends virtual learning with in-person instruction:

• Week 1: Online coursework (self-paced, with structured modules).
• Week 2: Online coursework + paid, onsite skills training & clinical hours (Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM).
• Week 3:Paid, onsite skills training & clinical hours (Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM).

Technical Requirements

• Reliable access to a laptop, smartphone, or tablet with high-speed internet
• Ability to fully engage in online coursework and training videos

Compensation & Career Path

• Paid Training: During onsite (Weeks 2-3), trainees receive $16/hour.
• Upon Program Completion: Offer of full- or part-time evening/night-shift employment (based on availability).
• Certified Pay Range: $21.25/hour after passing the NYS CNA exam + applicable shift differentials.

Certification & Exam Support

• Upon successful program completion, you will be eligible to sit for the NYS CNA Exam through Prometric.
• All exam fees and coursework materials are covered by The Wesley Community.
• The state exam will be administered onsite at our facility.

Key Requirements

• Completion of all online coursework and clinical hours is mandatory to qualify for the certification exam.
• Attendance at all onsite sessions is non-negotiable.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.

What will I do during CNA Training at The Wesley Community?

• Provide your assigned residents with needed routine daily nursing care in accordance with our established nursing care procedures, and as directed by your supervisors.
• Perform non-professional nursing duties related to the personal care and comfort of the residents.
• Perform services necessary for the cleanliness and care of the resident's environment, personal items, and equipment.
