Certified Nursing Assistant Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assesses, monitors, and manages residents to ensure their well-being, safety, and health
- Provides help with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene
- Assists residents with tasks of daily living
- Records patient vital signs such as accurate blood pressure checks
- Helps residents maintain health by encouraging participation in activities and exercise
- Makes beds, serves meals, and keeps rooms clean
- Maintains medical equipment and assists with certain medical procedures
- Answers requests for help and observes variations in patients behavior or condition
- Performs other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED
- CNA certification
- Demonstrated experience with specialized materials
- CPR Certification preferred
- Ability remain calm under stressful situations
- High level of personal effectiveness and credibility
- Teamwork oriented
