Job Description Summary:

Leads the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of major or large educational programs and conferences of Nationwide Children’s Hospital in collaboration with team content experts. Coordinates program development, fiscal management, accreditation compliance, recruitment/marketing, administrative support, and evaluation to assure quality outcomes and optimize expected results. Utilizes data to make improvements and track ongoing progress in meeting program goals.

Job Description:

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates the development of large, highly visible, complex education programs. Serves as an education consultant to design innovative education programs. Utilizes technology to cost-effectively enhance education. Mentors education team members on projects, programs, and conferences.
  • Documents accreditation, policy, and education standards compliance for programs. Develops, monitors, and/or updates policies and procedures as needed under the direction of the Professional Conferencing Team Coordinator. Ensures information and reports are accurate and submitted in a timely manner. Maintains reporting and regulatory initiatives as assigned.
  • Provides data to document the contribution of the assigned programs to Nationwide Children's Hospital’s mission and goals. Implements and tracks educational program improvements for areas of responsibility.
  • Creates, administers, and audits budgets for assigned programs.
  • Coordinates with content experts to increase the visibility of Nationwide Children's Hospital’s education programs. Maintains up-to-date information on the Web.
  • Assists in the development of internal and external grant applications. Serves as an internal consultant on applications for external support.
  • Ability to work evening and weekend hours, as well as travel, as schedule dictates.

Education Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in education, health administration or related healthcare field, required.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience, preferred.

Licensure Requirement:

Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy and position-specific requirements. Must pass motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Office, continuing education, and conferencing software.
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills to plan, direct and evaluate work of support staff.
  • Data analysis and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Strong organizational and project planning skills preferably in an education setting.

Experience:

  • Three years of experience in education planning and/or accreditation compliance.
  • Experience in policy, fiscal management, project management, and education development.

FREQUENTLY: Bend/twist, Lifting / Carrying: 11-20 lbs, Reaching above shoulder, Squat/kneel

CONTINUOUSLY: Audible speech, Computer skills, Decision Making, Depth perception, Driving motor vehicles (work required) *additional testing may be required, Flexing/extending of neck, Hearing acuity, Interpreting Data, Lifting / Carrying: 0-10 lbs, Peripheral vision, Problem solving, Pushing / Pulling: 0-25 lbs, Repetitive hand/arm use, Seeing – Far/near, Sitting, Standing, Walking
