Job Description:
Pay Range: $112,000 - $123,000 per year
*This position has overnight on-call requirements as needed. Differential offered for these on-call periods*
Scope:Coordinatesall activities related to nursing functions and patient care, within budgetary constraints. Adheres to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations. Supervises nursing staff that provides professional nursing care to patients. Must recognize physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of care.This is a working supervisor position, needs to be competent in taking care of stem cell and CART patients. On call and weekend coverage is a requirement to fill in as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs all clinical responsibilities aligned with the nursing job description.
- Oversees annual performance evaluations.
- Provides clinical guidance and support to cellular therapy staff.
- Manages staffing levels for adequate coverage.
- Functions as Quality Manager and ensures QI compliance.
- Maintains CEU requirements for physicians and nurses.
- OverseesCIBMTR audits and corrective actions.
- Ensures competency of data entry personnel.
- Collaborateswith the Transplant Director.
General Nursing SupervisorResponsibilities:
- Provides operational clinical oversight. Reviews and revises clinical policies.
- Maintains personnel files and licensure compliance.
- Maintains staffing and monitors operating costs.
- Monitors patient satisfaction and QA measures.
- Ensures accurate charge capture.
- Developspatient, family, and staff service initiatives.
- Participates in interviewing/hiring.
- Schedulesstaffing andmonitorsPTO and overtime.
- Implements staff retention and training programs. Coordinates staff development and in-services.
- Assists with annual evaluations.
- Serves as mentor and preceptor as needed.
- Provides frontline coverage when necessary.
Transplant RNResponsibilities:
- Performsdutiesof a nurse clinician.
- Conductshealth assessments and collaborates on diagnostic reports.
- Managessymptoms/toxicities during transplant therapy.
- Provides psychosocial support.
- Coordinates testing, consultations, and procedures.
- Provides expert care across all transplant phases.
- Educates patients, families, and professionals.
- Developsandimplementsclinical standards.
- Maintains documentation and billing accuracy.
- Manages reporting to transplant registries.
- Participates in QA and outcome monitoring.
- Supports research and communicates findings.
- Maintains equipment and supports program marketing.
- Triages patient calls as needed.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing,BSNor MSN preferred.
- RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
- Current CPR certificationrequired.
- Minimum five years actively practicing as a registered nurse, including at least threeyearsoncology experience.
- One-year leadership experience preferred.
- Oncology certificationpreferred.
