Nutrition Assistant

Forest Lake Senior High is seeking a reliable and energetic Nutrition Assistant to support our Cook Manager in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals to students and staff. Your Role Will Include:

• Assisting with food preparation following standardized recipes for regular and alternate menus. 
• Supporting baking activities for daily lunch service.
• Setting up and maintaining serving lines to ensure quality and appropriate portioning.
• Serving meals to students and staff in a friendly, professional manner.
• Assisting with cashiering duties, including handling payments, answering routine questions, maintaining records, balancing revenue reports, and supporting accountability procedures.
• Operating concession stands as assigned.
• Supporting food service clean-up, including operating the dishwasher, washing dishes and utensils, sanitizing equipment, and restocking supplies.
• Assisting with special events and providing coverage for team members as needed.

Qualifications:

Preferred:

• Previous food service or related experience.
• Specific training in food preparation or customer service.
• Basic Fundamentals Certificate (required within one year of hire).
• Strong housekeeping and clean-up skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Ability to stand 4–6 hours at a time.
• Ability to lift, reach, bend, stretch, and squat.
• Must be in good physical health and condition.

Salary and Benefits:

• $17.98 – $21.78/hour.

Location & Shift Times: 

• Forest Lake Senior High.
• 4 hours/day, Monday through Friday, within the hours of 9:15 AM - 1:30 PM.
