Job Description

Madison Regional Health System is seeking a part-time Nutrition Assistant to be a part of the Madison Regional Health System mission: Committed to providing quality healthcare, close to home.

Our Nutrition Assistant is an essential part of our Dietary Department and ensures patients and staff enjoy healthy and delicious meals. The successful candidate is responsible for cooking, food preparation, preparing trays for patients, preparing the buffet line, working the cash register, washing dishes and assisting patients and customers when needed. Excellent customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in pressure/stressful situations are essential.

At MRHS, we strive for our employees to have a positive work-life balance and design our shifts accordingly. Therefore, this part-time position will work hours varying between 6:00am to 2:30 pm and 4:00pm to 7:30pm including rotation of weekends and holidays. The working conditions will be in a clean, well-lighted area, with long periods of standing, and frequent repetitive motion of the hands/wrists, bending and reaching involved. Employee will need to be able to lift 10-35lbs. Employee will be working with kitchen equipment and may be exposed to burns or electrical hazards, lacerations, abrasions, burns, and strains.

Shift differential occurs 6pm-6am Monday-Friday, weekends, and holidays. MRHS offers retention pay to individuals who have worked at the facility for greater than one year. Madison Regional Health System employees receive a discount at the on-site cafeteria.
