As a Nutrition Site Coordinator, youll play a vital role in coordinating meal services, managing site operations, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Youll work in a dynamic team committed to community well-being and enjoy the reward of knowing your work directly benefits local residents.IF YOU HAVE EVER WORKED FOR ANY VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION like The Mission, Meals on Wheels, Senior or Social Services etc, this MAY BE THE JOB FOR YOU!What You'll Do As a Nutrition Site Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
- Coordinating daily operations and maintaining accurate compliance records at designated senior meal sites.*
- Collaborating with and directing on-site community volunteers to maximize program efficiency.*
- Handling, preparing, and staging food safely according to established health guidelines.*
- Delivering meals and assisting with distribution networks to ensure seniors receive daily nutrition.*
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and serving areas.*
- Traveling to other meal sites in Marion County when needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.*
- At least 1 year of experience coordinating community programs and working with volunteers.*
- 6 months of food handling experience.*
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and a community-oriented attitude.*
- Food Handlers card or ability to obtain one prior to starting.*
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver meal packages and stand for extended periods.*
- Valid Drivers License.
