Job Title: Senior Admissions Ambassador
Department: Undergraduate Admissions, Knight Hall, Forest Grove Campus
Position Type: Part-Time Student Position
Salary: $16.80ph
Job Summary:
The Lead Student Ambassador role recognizes outstanding campus tour guides who have demonstrated excellence in their performance, professionalism, and commitment to the mission of Pacific University Admissions. These students serve as peer mentors, role models, and program liaisons to support the ongoing development of the student ambassador team and help ensure high-quality visit experiences for prospective students and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Peer Mentorship:
Shadow new or developing ambassadors during their campus tours to offer encouragement and constructive feedback.
Serve as a point of contact for peer questions related to tour logistics, storytelling, or guest interactions.
Training and Onboarding:
Assist in training new ambassadors at the beginning of each semester.
Lead or co-facilitate mini refreshers or skill-building activities for current ambassadors.
Event Support
Provide leadership during group campus tours, specifically as the point person on campus for the middle school groups that come to campus, running the admissions presentation/activities and starting them on tour.
Attend or assist admissions counselors at recruitment events, such as college fairs and high school visits.
Program Development and Liaison
Work with the Campus Visit Coordinator and other professional staff to assess and adjust the campus tour experience for ambassadors and for students based on collected feedback.
Help maintain a welcoming and inclusive culture within the ambassador program.
Create team bonding and community building activities for the current ambassadors to foster healthy team dynamics.
Professional Development
Participate in leadership coaching or goal-setting with the student supervisors.
Complete a brief end-of-semester reflection about leadership growth and program contributions.

Length of Employment and Work Hours:
- Position is hired for the academic year
- Flexible part-time hours that accommodate your academic schedule, typically 6-8 hours per week.
