Overview
Job Description
- (Critical) Provides direct care for the treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses using established medical protocols and refer for further evaluation or treatment as necessary.
- (Critical) Collaborates with local and SHO management to further the objectives of the Sterilite health and safety programs.
- (Critical) Actively manages all worker’s compensation and short term disability cases which includes the initial processing of documents, consulting with insurance carriers and medical providers while continually monitoring the employee’s recovery process in an effort to accelerate the return to work process and reduce costs.
- (Very Important) Coordinates the annual OSHA and Sterilite required safety training such as lock out tag out, hot work, first aid and CPR, etc.
- (Very Important) Collects and analyze data to establish health priorities and interventions.
- (Very Important) Chairs the Safety Committee
- (Very Important) Participates in the accident investigation and root cause analysis of all accident or near miss incidents.
- (Very Important) Collaborates in the design of controls for injury/illness prevention and health surveillance related to actual and potential hazards in the plant.
- (Very Important) Maintains and safeguard the confidentiality of employee health and medical records in compliance with HIPPA regulations.
- (Important) Coordinates wellness and health promotions at the local level.
- Requirements
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or occupational health environment required.
- RN, LPN, Paramedic, EMT degree/certification required.
- Ability to work nights when required
