Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)Location: West Palm Beach, FL 33401Schedule: Full-time, school-basedEmployment Type: ContractPay Rate: Starting at $30/hour (dependent on experience)Position OverviewBirch Agency is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a school-based team in West Palm Beach, Florida.This opportunity is ideal for a COTA who is passionate about helping students develop the fine motor, sensory, visual motor, and functional skills needed to succeed in the classroom and daily school activities. Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT), the COTA will provide direct therapy services and collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to support student achievement.Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising OT.
• Assist students in developing fine motor, visual motor, sensory processing, self-help, and functional living skills.
• Utilize therapeutic activities and adaptive techniques to help students meet their educational and functional goals.
• Document student progress and maintain accurate treatment records.
• Assist in monitoring progress toward IEP goals and objectives.
• Prepare therapy materials and maintain therapy equipment.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families to support student success.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal regulations regarding occupational therapy services.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program required.
• Active Florida Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license required.
• Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred.
• Knowledge of occupational therapy interventions, adaptive equipment, and sensory integration techniques.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team.
