Job Description
We are hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) specializing in adolescent behavioral health and autism support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive functional evaluations and sensory processing assessments for adolescents (ages 8–17) on the autism spectrum.
- Provide group occupational therapy targeting emotional regulation, sensory integration, and activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Train patients in self-care skills such as dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting/hygiene, feeding and eating skills to promote greater independence in daily living.
- Partner with BCBAs (Board Certified Behavior Analysts), registered behavioral technicians, and mental health therapists within a multidisciplinary care model.
- Utilize trauma-informed co-regulation and positive behavior support strategies during times of emotional or behavioral distress.
- Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and progress notes in compliance with facility and insurance standards.
- Assist individual patients with hygiene and functional needs.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
- Current, active State of Nevada Occupational Therapy license.
- Minimum one (1) year of adolescent clinical experience, preferably with autism spectrum disorders and sensory processing challenges.
