Job Description

Areté Health brings together Brunswick Physical Therapy and ProFlex Physical Therapy, two established outpatient rehabilitation brands united by a shared commitment to exceptional care, continuous improvement, and investing in the people who make that care possible.

While each brand maintains its own local identity and connection to the communities it serves, our teams are supported by the broader resources, technology, and infrastructure of Areté Health.

At our core, we believe a career should be about more than simply filling a position. People join us at different stages of their careers and with different goals. Some are looking for mentorship and confidence early in their careers. Others want to deepen their expertise, pursue specialization, lead teams, grow practices, or take on something entirely new.

Our goal is to meet people where they are and help them build what comes next.

Through professional development, mentorship, career pathways, and opportunities for continued growth, we are building an organization where team members can develop both personally and professionally. For our clinicians, programs such as Momentum, our peer-to-peer mentorship program, and TAP, Talent Advancement Pathways, are designed to support clinical development, specialization, advanced certifications, mentorship, leadership, and practice growth.

Our culture, The Areté Way, is centered on continuous growth across five areas: Family and Relationships, Personal Discipline, Professional Growth, Financial Intelligence, and Clinical Mastery.

Whether you join Brunswick Physical Therapy, ProFlex Physical Therapy, or the Areté Health support team, you'll be part of a growing organization focused on creating a better experience for our patients, our teams, and the communities we serve, while becoming 1% Better Every Day.

Brunswick Physical Therapy, powered by Areté Health, is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our team in Porters Neck, NC.

We're not simply looking to fill an opening. We're looking for someone who wants to do meaningful work, contribute to a strong team, and continue growing along the way.

As our Occupational Therapist, you'll help patients regain function, independence, and confidence following injuries, surgeries, and other conditions, with a focus on hand and upper-extremity rehabilitation. You'll be part of a team focused on delivering a great experience for our patients, supporting one another, and continuing to grow and improve together.

What you'll want to know

  • Compensation: $90,000-$110,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications, plus applicable performance-based incentive opportunities. Eligible clinicians may also have access to up to $20,000 in personalized career investment support, which may be applied toward areas such as student loan repayment, advanced training, certifications, residency, relocation, or other professional development opportunities, subject to eligibility and program terms.
  • Schedule: Full-time, with scheduling flexibility based on clinic and team needs
  • Location: Brunswick Physical Therapy | Porters Neck, NC | Onsite clinical position
  • The opportunity: Whether you are already a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) or an Occupational Therapist looking to further develop your skills in hand and upper-extremity rehabilitation, this role offers the opportunity to build specialized clinical expertise within a collaborative outpatient rehabilitation team.

What you'll do

  • Evaluate patients with functional limitations, injuries, and disabilities, including hand and upper-extremity conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans based on each patient's goals, progress, and functional needs
  • Provide direct patient care using therapeutic activities, manual therapy, appropriate modalities, ADL retraining, and functional rehabilitation techniques
  • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, adaptive equipment, safety, and strategies to support continued progress outside the clinic
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with the Director of Occupational Therapy, Clinic Director, and other rehabilitation professionals to coordinate patient care

What we're looking for

Required

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current, unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in North Carolina, or eligibility to obtain licensure before starting
  • Current CPR certification
  • Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and evidence-based treatment skills
  • Interest in hand therapy and upper-extremity rehabilitation

Preferred

  • Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential
  • Previous experience in hand and upper-extremity rehabilitation
  • Previous experience in an outpatient occupational therapy setting

CHT certification is preferred, not required. We welcome Occupational Therapists who are interested in further developing their skills in hand therapy.

What you can expect from us

We know people are motivated by different things at different stages of their careers. Our goal is to provide the support, resources, and opportunities that help our team members succeed today while continuing to build toward what comes next.

Depending on your role, employment status, eligibility, and applicable program terms, you may have access to:

  • Competitive compensation and performance-based incentive opportunities
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits
  • Paid time off and company holidays
  • Professional development and continuing education support
  • Mentorship and career development opportunities
  • Opportunities to build clinical expertise, pursue leadership, or grow into new areas of responsibility
  • Technology, tools, and operational resources designed to support your work
  • Personalized career investment opportunities that may include additional financial support for professional or career development, based on role, eligibility, and organizational needs
  • A collaborative environment focused on accountability, growth, and continuous improvement

We don't believe every career should follow the same path. We want to understand what matters to you, where you want to grow, and how your next opportunity can help you get there.
