Occupational Therapist (OT) – Outpatient Clinic | Full-time | 800 East Main St Suite 160 Wytheville, VA 24382
Are you an Occupational Therapist passionate about helping children thrive while also maintaining a diverse outpatient caseload? Join our growing therapy team in Wytheville, VA, where you’ll have the opportunity to work primarily with pediatric patients in an outpatient setting while also supporting school-based services and treating select adult patients.
This unique hybrid role offers clinical variety, mentorship opportunities, and the chance to make a meaningful impact across multiple settings. Whether you're experienced in pediatrics or looking to grow your pediatric skillset, you’ll be supported by a collaborative interdisciplinary team focused on compassionate, evidence-based care.
Your Role: As an Occupational Therapist in our outpatient clinic, you will:
- Evaluate and treat primarily pediatric patients in an outpatient setting
- Provide school-based supervision and collaboration as needed
- Treat a smaller caseload of adult outpatient patients
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient’s goals
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve functional independence, sensory processing, fine motor skills, ADLs, and participation in daily activities
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home exercise programs and progress strategies
- Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team including Physical Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation within EMR systems
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current or eligible Virginia OT license
- Passion for working with both pediatric and adult populations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Outpatient experience preferred, but new grads welcome to apply
