Job SummaryThe OT/COTA provides skilled occupational therapy services to help patients improve their independence, safety, and ability to participate in daily activities. This position involves working with patients and families in the home, following an individualized plan of care, and collaborating with the healthcare team.Benefits:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (OT/OTR):
  • Provide occupational therapy services in accordance with the patient's plan of care.
  • Evaluate patient needs and provide appropriate therapeutic interventions to improve strength, mobility, coordination, cognitive skills, safety, and activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Develop, implement, and modify treatment plans based on patient progress and needs.
  • Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on therapy activities, home programs, safety, and strategies that promote independence.
  • Select appropriate therapeutic activities based on the patient's abilities and goals.
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and modifications to the patient's home or living environment when appropriate.
  • Accurately document evaluations, interventions, progress, and other services provided.
  • Communicate and collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Participate in continuing education and maintain compliance with applicable regulations and payer requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:Occupational Therapist (OT/OTR):
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Texas OT license.
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA):
  • Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current Texas COTA license.
License/Certification:
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Current Texas Driver's License.
  • Reliable transportation and valid auto liability insurance.
  • Home health experience preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and timekeeping.
