As an Occupational Therapist/Certified Hand Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality hand therapy services. Your responsibilities will encompass the evaluation of patients, developing personalized plans of care, and executing effective treatment programs tailored to individual needs. You will also conduct re-evaluations to monitor progress and facilitate timely discharges, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will collaborate with both patients and the healthcare team to communicate treatment goals and progress effectively. This position allows you to showcase your expertise in custom bracing and orthotics while enhancing the lives of those seeking recovery through specialized OT and hand therapy techniques.

What matters most

Candidates must possess a robust skill set and relevant credentials. You should be a graduate of an accredited Occupational or Physical Therapy program, holding specialty certification in Hand Therapy or looking to obtain one, along with national registration and Montana state licensure. A minimum of one year of clinical experience as a practicing hand or occupational therapist is essential, complemented by current BLS or ACLS certifications.

Success in this role requires strong knowledge of managing patients with hand injuries and disorders, along with excellent skills in orthotic fabrication. Candidates must exhibit advanced orthopedic skills and effective communication, allowing for collaboration with patients and healthcare professionals. Upholding strong ethical and moral character is vital, as is familiarity with relevant clinic policies and regulations.
