Job Description
- Provides occupational therapy services to assigned clients under the direct supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
- Provides goal-directed and activity-oriented intervention to promote independence in activities of daily living, cognition, social skills, sensory processing, fine/gross motor development, and other areas across development.
- Builds and maintains rapport with family members and provides caregiver education as needed.
- Communicates and collaborates with team members about occupational therapy services.
- Completes professional documentation according to facility policies and procedures.
- Enters appropriate billing for patient services into electronic medical system.
- Maintains treatment environment and supplies to support occupational therapy services.
- Develops, writes, and instructs clients and families in therapy home programs.
- Assists in orientation and training of other staff members.
- Assists in projects related to development of clinical programs and/or accomplishment of department goals.
- Current CA Occupational Therapy Assistant Licensure.
- Preferred but not required: 1-2 years of experience in pediatrics, experience providing feeding therapy, fluency in Spanish.
- Ability to meet deadlines; detailed and task-oriented.

- $30-34/hour, depending on experience.
- 30 hours per week.
- Schedule is flexible; 4- to 6-hour days.
- Caseload includes medically-fragile infants and children 0-21 years old in a subacute setting as well as children 6 months to 15 years in an outpatient clinic.
- Paid full hourly rate for cancels.
- Manageable billing expectation.
- Hour-long outpatient appointments.
