Job Description

Empath Home Health, part of Empath Health, is expanding and seeking a PRN Home Health COTA Occupational Therapy Assistant to support patients in their homes throughout Tampa, FL and surrounding areas.

In this flexible PRN role, you'll deliver individualized therapy, help patients maintain independence, and play a key part in our growing market presence-with the potential for full‑time in the future.

Locations: Home health visits in central Hillsborough county (West Tampa, South Tampa, Carrollwood, Town 'N' Country, Ybor, Westchase, Hyde Park). If desired, visits available in North Tampa too!

Schedule: PRN role with 10+ visits per week

What You'll Do

  • Provides occupational therapy services, following the plan of care under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
  • Applies therapeutic self-care and creative activities that are directed toward improving independence and physical and mental functioning.
  • Evaluates equipment needs to increase functional level of the patient.
  • Prepares clinical and progress notes of services provided, patient activities and condition and submit in a timely manner.

What You'll Need

  • Active Florida COTA license
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience as a licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Prior home health COTA experience strongly preferred
  • Prefers experience using Homecare Homebase (HCHB) EMR
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient education skills.
