Job Description
Occupational Therapist (OT) Join a Premier Level II Trauma Center in Topeka!Are you a dedicated Occupational Therapist passionate about making a difference in acute care settings? We are seeking a highly motivated OT to provide exceptional patient care at a renowned Level II Trauma Center. This full-time, 26-week contract offers a rewarding opportunity to work with diverse patient populations and contribute to a top-tier healthcare team. - Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure (KSBHA required).
- NBCOT certification preferred.
- BLS certification within first 90 days of employment.
- Experience in acute care hospital settings, handling patients with complex diagnoses.
- Proficiency in patient transfers involving lines and drains.
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team in high-pressure situations.
- Adaptability to fast-paced workflows with minimal supervision.
- Epic electronic medical record system experience.
- Previous exposure to ICU, neuro, ortho, cardiac, respiratory, trauma, surgical, or joint replacement patients.
- Experience collaborating with physical therapists and other clinical staff.
- Familiarity with handling acutely ill patients and managing multiple patient evaluations efficiently.
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Prior experience in hospital-based or acute care environments.
- NBCOT certification.
- Availability for 8-hour day shifts, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Ability to assist with late joint procedures on a rotating basis; no call or weekend work required.
- Must be comfortable in high-acuity settings with complex patient needs.
- Expected patient load: 78 patients per shift.
- No first-time travelers; previous acute care experience preferred.
- Hourly Pay Rate: $63.65
