Job Description
Sterling Medical is currently looking for
Office Assistants
positions within the Veterans Affairs Northwest Network
In locations in Idaho
Clinic Hours-M-F, 8:00 am-4:30pm, 8 hr. shifts
THESE ARE REMOTE POSITIONS BUT REMOTE SUPPORT STAFF WILL BE EXPECTED TO WORK THE SAME HOURS REMOTELY AS THE VA CLINIC STAFF
SUMMARY :
Provides clerical/administrative support. Schedules appointments, in addition to scheduling requested appointments, this position will call patients to schedule, reschedule, and/or cancel appointments as needed, to include appointments for consult/referral specialty care. Heavy data entry work is involved in this position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Mandatory knowledge and skills:
· A fully qualified typist (computer keyboard) with a minimum of 50 WPM is required.
· General medical ethics, telephone etiquette, and excellent communication and customer service skills.
· General office administrative and clerical skills to perform receptionist duties and answer telephones.
· Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
· Basic Medica Terminology is desired.
Education:
· High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency.
· Medical terminology desired, but not required.
Experience:
· Minimum (1) One year of experience in Customer Service
