Office Manager/Social Media Coordinator
A part-time Office Manager is needed for Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) of Virginia, Peninsula Chapter. This position will be 20 hours per week.
General Chapter Administration
- Purchase necessary office supplies and maintain inventory of CEF materials
- Serve as Child Protection Coordinator by ensuring compliance with child protection policies for all employees and volunteers within the chapter and maintaining accurate records on the GNC roster spreadsheet
- Collect all Good News Clubs (GNC) and 5 Day Clubs statistical reports and enter them into the monthly statistical reporting system
- Communicate with GNC Team Leaders via email and phone
- Collect student registration forms from GNC Team Leaders for all enrolled GNC students and ensure that all GNCs have approved facility requests on file
- Create monthly prayer calendar and sends weekly prayers and praises to the state office and local chapter
- Compile outreach packets for distribution to pastors, churches, schools, and special events
- Print and organize GNC Registration Forms for all schools, Christian Youth in Action (CYIA) Packets and other resources as needed
- Create yearly student demographic list using information from the Virginia Department of Education to ensure accurate GNC statistics
- Request Certificates of Insurance for each school district
- Maintains electronic and hard-copy files of policies, general office procedures, correspondence and various statistical reports in accordance to record retention guidelines, including a monthly backup to an external hard drive.
Web Communication/Social Media
- Create and maintain the CEF of Peninsula Facebook page by posting articles, testimonies, and upcoming events.
- Send e-vites for training, the annual kickoff, volunteer appreciation and other events
- Help maintain accurate donor and ministry partner information and giving records in Neon One
- Assist with donation processing, thank-you letters, and simple reports donation reports to help us care well for those who support the ministry.
Ministry Support Services
- Support fund-raising efforts by overseeing campaign mailings and assisting in banquet coordination
- Supports training by ensuring chapter has an adequate supply of 15 Leader/Admin Training Handbooks, 30 Quick Start Training Folders, and other needed materials
- Oversees volunteer help on special projects.
- We are seeking a committed servant of God, preferably someone one who loves the ministry of CEF. The Office Manager should demonstrate exemplary Christian character, have a teachable and humble spirit, and represent the ministry in a friendly and cheerful manner.
- The candidate should possess excellent oral and written communication skills, discretion, attention to detail, strong organization skills, and the ability to work independently.
- The candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office. See list below.
- A working knowledge of QuickBooks is helpful, but not require.

Qualifications for Ministry Staff
- Is born again, has the assurance of salvation and is willing to give a testimony of their salvation
- Must sign the CEF Ministry Compliance Agreement
- Is called to serve in the ministry and can explain that calling
- Believes that children can be saved from sin by coming to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ
- Demonstrates an active dependence on prayer and is a continual student of the Word of God
- Is a team player
- Possesses basic computer and technology skills
- Is self-motivated and organized
- Meets the specific qualifications necessary to perform the requirements of the job description
- Participates in raising ministry support
- Has a good testimony at home, on the job and in his neighborhood and local church as reflected by both speech and conduct
- Is actively involved in a local church
- Is continually learning to trust the Lord for victory, wisdom and guidance
- Submits biblically to authority
- Lives in the area of ministry
