Primary responsibilities include:
Processing all 4,500 annual charitable applications including beano/bingo, games of chance, distributor & commercial bingo halls.
Determining eligibility of non-profit organizations/committees to license/register beano/bingo, games of chance &/or game nights.
Coordinate with inspectors and applicants any additional information as needed completion of licensure or registrations.
Answer organizational questions regarding compliance with law and rules of the Unit.
Skills or knowledge required:
Knowledge of laws & rules pertaining to charitable gaming.
Knowledge of ALMS (Agency License Management System) as the primary database for licensure within the Unit.
Knowledge of Drupal, Adobe Pro, Microsoft and Lifecyle Designer for creation & editing of forms & online information.
Ability to communicate both orally & in writing in a professional manner providing excellent customer service.
Ability to perform administrative duties including the use of office equipment.
Minimum qualifications:
Training, education, or experience in office and administrative support work that demonstrates 1) competency in applying a proficient knowledge of modern office practices to perform advanced administrative support tasks requiring specialized skills, and 2) the ability to use independent judgment, initiative, and discretion to make determinations on varied matters. All positions in this classification assume the qualifications of: Office Assistant I, Office Assistant II, Office Associate I and Office Associate II.
LICENSING/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: (These must be met by all employees prior to attaining permanent status in this class.)
Some positions may require possession of a valid Class B Maine Motor Vehicle Operator's License.
