Job Description

As a full-service engineering, design, and construction services firm, Mi-Tech delivers comprehensive, in-house support for utility, infrastructure and heavy civil projects from planning and design through execution. Our multidisciplinary team provides practical, innovative solutions that emphasize cost efficiency, constructability, and long-term value. Founded in 1985, Mi-Tech has built a reputation for excellence in engineering, design, environmental, laboratory, technical, and field support across the many industries we serve. As a proud member of the Michels Family of Companies, Mi-Tech collaborates across our internationally respected roster of construction craft and professionals to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions that meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

An Oil and Gas Pipeline Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis, and integrity of piping systems that support oil, gas, and water conveyance and transportation operations. This role develops efficient piping layouts, performs hydraulic and stress analyses, reviews P&IDs and isometric drawings, and ensures all systems meet ASME, API, ASTM, and water‑industry standards. The engineer supports fabrication, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting for issues such as flow, pressure, vibration, and corrosion, ensuring full compliance with project requirements and HSE regulations.

Why Mi-Tech Services Inc.?

  • We are committed to hiring the best people and giving them the best equipment.
  • We deliver innovative infrastructure solutions that improve energy distribution, expand connectivity, and create lasting value for the communities around us.
  • Our steady, strategic growth revolves around a commitment to quality. If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right.
  • We are family owned and operated. We work to see each other succeed, not to increase stock market valuation.
  • We invest an average of $5,000 per employee in training each year. We want each of our teams to learn and grow.
  • We believe everyone is responsible for promoting safety, regardless of job title. We are our brothers' and sisters' keepers.
  • We are a part of the Michels Family of Companies - one of North America's largest, most diversified energy and infrastructure construction companies.

Why you?

  • You like to surround yourself with dedicated, genuine, value-driven people.
  • You are up to new challenges and opportunities. You like to learn and try new things.
  • You like to know your efforts are noticed and appreciated.
  • You believe that individual commitment to a group effort is key to success.
  • You want your work to make a tangible difference in people's lives.

What it takes:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering field
  • 5+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • Experience with oil and gas and/or water piping design, facility engineering, or pipeline projects
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, and construction drawings
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with AutoCAD, CADWorx, or similar design software desired
  • Experience with CAESAR II strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of ASME B31.3, applicable API codes, and water pipeline design standards
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to accommodate occasional travel for meetings, site visits, and short-term construction assignments
  • Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
