Job Description

Position Title:Department: Operations Maintenance ForemanOperations
Location:DJ Basin, Colorado (Field-Based)
Reports to:Vice President Field Operations
Salary Range:$100,000 – $130,000
Job Summary
The Operations Maintenance Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating roustabout crews performing maintenance, repair, and construction activities across oil and gas well sites and production facilities in the DJ Basin. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant execution of field operations, including facility upkeep, equipment installation, cost control, and environmental stewardship while meeting all applicable Colorado and federal regulatory requirements.
Essential Functions
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor roustabout crews in daily field operations
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance activities for well sites, tank batteries, flowlines, and production equipment
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company policies, OSHA standards, and state/local regulations
  • Conduct daily safety meetings (JSA), enforce safe work practices, and promote a strong safety culture
  • Oversee installation, repair, and maintenance of:
    • Flowlines, valves, and piping systems
    • Tanks, separators, and production equipment
    • Fencing, containment systems, and site infrastructure
  • Oversee and perform all mowing activity and vegetation control
  • Maintain yard/warehouse inventory and track changes for accounting
  • Coordinate with production, drilling, and facilities teams to support ongoing operations
  • Inspect work sites and equipment to ensure quality and operational efficiency
  • Coordinate with engineering, production, and project management teams to meet project timelines and specifications
  • Monitor project progress, manpower, and material usage to stay on schedule and within budget
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and crew time
  • Respond to emergency call-outs and equipment failures as needed
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, vehicles, and heavy equipment
  • Work with leadership to continuously improve efficiency and reduce operating expense

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade certification preferred
  • 5–10 years of oil & gas construction and maintenance experience
  • 2–3 years of leadership or foreman experience in a field environment
  • Strong understanding of DJ Basin facility construction standards and production systems
  • Experience reading blueprints, P&IDs, and construction drawings
  • Valid driver’s license
  •  Required certifications: OSHA 10/30, H2S Awareness, First Aid/CPR (or ability to obtain)

  • Long hours, rotational schedules, and on-call availability may be required
  • Travel between multiple job sites within the basin
